APPLE CRISP (vegan, gluten free and made with love)🍏🌱
Okokok I know it’s peach season in ontario but we had about 15 apples that we had to use before they go bad and I am NOT complaining. Apple crisp has to be one of my favourite desserts. Pair it with a warm cup of tea and some ice cream, and it’s 🥲💋 Also, this is 60% crisp which is how it should be 🤝
FILLING:
– roughly chopped 4 medium apples
– 1 teaspoon lemon juice
– 1 tbsp cinnamon
– 2 tbsp maple syrup
– 1 tbsp water
– 1 tbsp corn starch
– dash of allspice or nutmeg
TOPPING:
– 1 cup oat flour
– 1 cup oats
– 1 tbsp cinnamon
– 2 tbsp coconut sugar
– 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp maple syrup
– 1/4 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 350. In a pan on the stovetop, mix together the filling ingredients. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and keep stirring until apples are soft and fragrant, around 10 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix together the topping ingredients until crumbly. Once apples are done, transfer to a deep dish pan and then top with your crisp toppings! Bake for 30 minutes until golden.
