A Grand Reimagining: Adventure World Takes Shape

The extensive redevelopment introduces Adventure Way, a breathtaking new main thoroughfare flanked by lush gardens, captivating entertainment venues, and diverse dining options, including The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. Among its new attractions is Raiponce Tangled Spin, a charming family ride inspired by Disney Animation’s classic tale, Tangled. Anchoring the park is Adventure Bay, a stunning central lake that not only defines the park’s landscape but also serves as the dramatic stage for the brand-new nighttime spectacle, “Disney Cascade of Lights.” Towering majestically beyond the bay, at the heart of this expansion, is the fully immersive World of Frozen, transporting guests directly into the enchanting realm of Arendelle.

Opening day commenced with a moment of delightful surprise as Spider-Man made a dramatic appearance atop the iconic Earffel Tower, revealing the park’s new identity: Disney Adventure World. Shortly thereafter, children from Make-A-Wish, alongside their families, were granted the honor of being the inaugural guests, walking along Adventure Way. Their emotional journey, guided by cheering cast members, Imagineers, beloved Disney characters, and the Disney Marching Band, marked a poignant start to the day as they became among the first to explore the wonders of World of Frozen.

Exploring the Magic of Arendelle and Beyond

Upon its official opening, a wave of eager guests poured into the park, ready to embark on new adventures. Inside World of Frozen, visitors were instantly transported to the snow-capped mountains and charming village of Arendelle. Here, the family-friendly attraction, Frozen Ever After, captivates with its stunning scenes, iconic music, and cutting-edge technology, bringing the beloved story to life. Nearby, “A Celebration in Arendelle” delighted audiences with a vibrant show featuring Olaf, boats gracefully gliding across the water, and original music composed exclusively for the land. Culinary delights awaited at Nordic Crowns Tavern, offering a fresh menu inspired by Nordic cuisine.

Beyond Arendelle, guests twirled beneath glowing lanterns on Raiponce Tangled Spin and savored a wide array of new dining experiences along Adventure Bay. Throughout the day, spontaneous character encounters, live musical performances, and intricate immersive details ensured that every corner of Disney Adventure World offered a new discovery.

A Star-Studded Inauguration and a Wish Fulfilled

The public opening followed a spectacular inauguration ceremony held the previous night, where prominent figures including Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company; Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences; and Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris, graced the stage to underscore the significance of this milestone. Josh D’Amaro remarked on the global resonance of the Frozen story and how the new additions offer guests entirely new ways to experience it. Thomas Mazloum emphasized the park’s continued expansion with purpose and ambition, reflecting Disney’s commitment to boundless imagination. Natacha Rafalski declared the opening of Disney Adventure World as the dawn of a new era, inviting guests to step directly into the heart of their cherished stories.

The ceremony also honored the new Tangled-inspired attraction with an appearance by Rapunzel, Flynn, and their friends. The ambiance then transformed as French-American singer Santa delivered a powerful rendition of Into the Unknown from Disney Animation’s Frozen 2, performed at an exquisite ice piano. A particularly moving moment unfolded when 10-year-old Lou from Make-A-Wish joined Santa on stage to sing a few lines of Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, alongside an advanced robotic Olaf brought to life by Walt Disney Imagineering. This heartfelt performance marked a significant achievement: the 25,000th wish granted at Disneyland Paris since 1992.

The evening culminated in a show-stopping finale as Santa returned to perform Let It Go, joined by Anna, Elsa, and Olaf. Enhanced by immersive lighting, breathtaking pyrotechnics, and the illuminated ice piano, the performance cast a magical glow over Arendelle Village and Adventure Bay, creating an unforgettable closing moment. The grand celebration attracted international attention, with celebrities such as French actors Lucas Bravo and Camille Razat, Spice Girl Emma Bunton, and fashion icons Christian Louboutin and Coperni gracing the red carpet. With its immersive lands, groundbreaking technology, and storytelling intricately woven into every detail, this transformation represents the most ambitious evolution in the history of Disneyland Paris. As the first guests stepped into this new chapter, it became clear that a bold and beautiful new era has indeed arrived, and this is only the beginning.
