Beach Stone Arrangements: An Artist’s Journey to Finding Therapeutic Peace

If you find a stones near a water body, you’ll probably try to throw them through the water to make them jump twice, thrice or even more times over it, but this artist is different. Jon Foreman from Pembrokeshire, Wales takes full advantage of the long coastline that he lives around; making every stone he finds count.

Jon is renowned for creating mesmerizing, never-before-seen patterns using the stones that he finds along the coastline. He has been in love with this art since his college. Whether it is a small pebble or a big rock, Jon makes every stone count, putting them all into patterns that amaze all the beach-goers.

He says that he starts by placing one stone at a time, with either an idea in his mind or absolutely nothing at all to start off. It’s his way, he says, to get rid of everyday stress.

You’ll see that Foreman has created stunning stone arrangements in variety of environments. He doesn’t need to carry colors, brush, canvas or any other material to create these arrangements; all he needs to do is just collect stones and put them into patterns.

The artist says that making these patterns feels really calming and has had a therapeutic effect on his overall health over a period of time.
