This 75-Year-Old Artist Creates Edits Of Bushes In Honor Of His Deceased Cat

In memory of his deceased pet, 75-year-old artist Richard Saunders creates edits of bushes. Richard creates bizarre photographs that are digitally altered by replacing real-life vegetation with cat-shaped shrubs. For this project titled “The Topiary Cat,” he has created hundreds of photographs.

Richard explained in an interview with Bored Panda that he started this project for pleasure when his cat was still living, and that he didn’t want to continue it once Tolly (his cat) died. However, his 40K Facebook fans persuaded him to keep going. It, according to Richard, aids people in coping with the death of their own pets. Here are a few of his incredible images from his Facebook page.
