Did a poll last week on what kind of chocolate bar I should recreate and twix won by a laaaandslide. I am SO happy with how these turned out and they srsly surpassed my expectations🥺. The combination between the shortbread, gooey caramel and chocolate is unmatched. These are SUCH a great alternative to store-bought chocolate bars and the best part is that they’re filled with nutritious ingredients so you actually FEEL good eating them🌱👏

SHORTBREAD LAYER:
– 1/2 cup coconut flour
– 3/4 cups oat flour
– 1/4 cup coconut oil
– 3 tbsp maple syrup

CARAMEL LAYER:
– 12 dates
– 1 tsp vanilla
– 1/4 tsp sea salt
– 1/3 cup warm water

CHOCOLATE LAYER:
– just melt chocolate lol 😎

Preheat oven to 350. Combine shortbread ingredients in a bowl and then transfer to a baking sheet. Flatten and press down firmly and then bake for 20 minutes until edges are golden! Blend all caramel ingredients into a blender. Keep blending until a paste forms. Remove shortbread from the oven, let cool, and then spread caramel on top of bars. Slice and transfer to a freezer for 30 minutes! Melt chocolate and dip bars into it. Keep in the refrigerator 🤍🤍🤍
